《基因组蛋白质组与生物信息学报》（Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics，GPB）是由中国科学院北京基因组研究所和中国遗传学会共同主办的英文科技期刊，2003年创刊；被DOAJ、PubMed/MEDLINE、PubMed Central、SCIE、Scopus等数据库收录。现因发展需要，现面向国内外公开招聘编辑1名。

　　一、岗位职责

　　1.开展初审、组稿、约稿等核心工作；监督审稿流程，保证审稿周期；

　　2.负责与国外研究人员（编委、审稿人、作者、读者等）及出版商的沟通；

　　3.及时了解、筛选和分析相应学术和出版领域专业动态和研究热点；协助专辑组织；

　　4.认真完成编辑加工、校对等工作，保证期刊出版质量；

　　5.参加国际及国内学术会议，进行期刊宣传、约稿工作；

　　6.参与编辑部承办或协办会议的组织；

　　7.根据需要及时完成编辑部交给的其他业务工作。

　　二、任职条件

　　1.拥有基因组学（或其它组学）、生物信息学、计算生物学、分子遗传学或生命科学其他相关专业博士学位，以第一作者或通讯作者在知名期刊撰写和发表过英文科研论文；有海外经历或相关工作经验者优先考虑；

　　2.具有较强的英语听、说、读、写能力，可使用英语作为有效工作语言；

　　3.具有熟练运用计算机处理英文稿件和图表的能力；能够熟练运用网络并对信息进行分析；

　　4.有良好的团结协作精神和独立工作能力，流利的中英文协调、沟通能力，热爱科技期刊事业并能在受聘岗位上稳定工作；

　　5.具有较强的自我学习能力、进取和创新精神及开放的思维方式；认真负责，工作细致；

　　6.身体健康。

　　One position immediately open for Scientific Editor at the journal office of Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics (GPB)

　　GPB, an international peer-reviewed journal published by Elsevier, is currently seeking a Scientific Editor (position immediately available) to join its editorial office located in Beijing. Currently indexed by databases including DOAJ, PubMed/MEDLINE, PubMed Central, SCIE, and Scopus, GPB aims to publish high-quality findings from scientists around the globe. Featured areas and particular interests of GPB include large-scale data acquisition, analysis, and integration based on high-throughput sequencing technologies.

　　The Scientific Editor is expected to play key roles in all aspects of manuscript processing, including but not limited to the responsibilities listed below:

　　Responsibilities:

　　1.To actively engage in editorial processes, including screening manuscripts and overseeing peer review;

　　2.To efficiently communicate in English with the publisher and reviewers, editors, authors, and readers;

　　3.To interact with leading scientists in the related fields, solicit submissions, and coordinate organization of special issues;

　　4.To perform pre-publication editing and proofreading for accepted manuscripts;

　　5.To promote the journal by attending conferences and other events and preparing marketing materials;

　　6.To assist in organizing seminars and symposiums.

　　Requirements:

　　1.Ph.D. degree in genomics (or other omics), bioinformatics, molecular genetics, or other closely related fields of life sciences. At least one publication as the first author or corresponding author in the well-known international (English) journals is required. Working/study experience abroad is desirable.

　　2.Broad scientific interests, ability to critically think, and dedication in scientific editing;

　　3.Strong sense of responsibility, collaboration, and independence, highly self-motivated, creative, and open-minded;

　　4.Proficient in oral and written English as well as computer skills; good communication skills
