Job Description: An opportunity has arisen to join the Computational Systems Genomics Lab, headed by Prof Andrew Teschendorff, at the CAS-MPG Partner Institute for Computational Biology, Shanghai. The Computational Systems Genomics Lab carries out cutting-edge research at the interface between Statistics, Cancer and Genomics, with a special focus on Statistical Cancer Epigenomics and Cancer Systems Biology (see http://www.picb.ac.cn/compsysg/). The post is at the staff scientist level and salary is negotiable. Besides doing research, the candidate will be expected to also carry out secretarial/administrative duties, and to occasionally assist the Principal Investigator with translation of short documents from Chinese into English and vice versa. This is therefore an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to perform scientific research, publish high quality papers and to improve your communication skills in English.
Essential Job Requirements:
A degree in a computational/scientific discipline, including Computer Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Physics or Engineering.
Good oral and written English.
Excellent organizational skills.
Team Player.
Desirable Job Requirements:
MSc/PhD in a computational/scientific discipline, including Computer Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Physics or Engineering.
Programming experience in R, Bioconductor, Python, Perl or Java.

职位描述：由Andrew Teschendorff研究员领导的计算系统基因组学课题组隶属于中国科学院－马普学会计算生物学伙伴研究所。本课题组主要从事统计学与癌症基因组学交叉方向的前沿研究，特别是癌症相关的统计表观遗传学研究和癌症系统生物学研究。 http://www.picb.ac.cn/compsysg。因工作需要，拟招聘科研助理一名，薪资面议。
该职位主要从事科学研究，同时期待可以参与协助课题组长完成秘书职位，完成中英文文件的互译等。该职位可以给新毕业生提供一个完成科学研究，发表高水平文章的机会。同时提高英语水平。
基本职位要求：
1）计算机或其他相关学科硕士以上学历，其中包括：计算机科学、统计学、生物系信息，数学，物理学及工程类学科等
2）流畅的英文口语及书面交流能力
3）优秀的组织能力
4）善于沟通和交流，有良好的团队精神与合作意识
具备以下条件者优先录用：
1） 获得统计或计算等相关专业博士/硕士学位，其中包括：计算机科学、统计学、生物信息学、数学、物理学或工程类学科等
2）掌握如下编程语言：R/Bioconductor, Python, Perl或Java.
